Charlie Barbour just spent 3-1/2 years delivering breakthrough Big Data and IoT technology, massively parallel, in the cloud, at Base2 Solutions and at SpaceCurve where he was Scrum Master and lead all Agile projects.

Charlie has an unusually varied background in executive and senior management positions in the computer and software industry. He has a very strong record of founding, building, and improving teams, delivering competitive products, working effectively across operational boundaries, managing to exacting financial constraints, and adapting organizations and infrastructure under conditions varying from hyper-growth to mergers.

Prior to SpaceCurve, he was an Engineering Director at IGT, where he managed a staff of approximately 100 software engineers in 3 U.S. locations and in Beijing. Prior to IGT, Charlie was an IBM development executive following acquisition of an enterprise software company which he helped build as Senior Vice President of Engineering and Services. He worked in Europe for several years and has worked in three companies funded by large Japanese multinationals, in several funded by venture capitalists, and in large publicly-owned companies. He has extensive experience with M&A as well as with internally-driven hyper-growth.
